Game Day
It started yesterday at 6:00 am. Cars passing by my apartment and the occasional "WHHHOOOOO!" Broke my early morning silence. You see, people start tailgating here when the sun comes up. Cars steadily passed my apartment on their way to numerous lots, each an islands of Iowa pride, grills and of course beer. This weekend was a bit more spirited than others since Iowa State was in town. The increased bustle continued to around 10:30. Then from 10:30 until 2:00 or so, it was silent. Earily so.

I can SOOO remember those days. At the University of Alabama, the RVs started arriving on Wednesday and the tailgating began on Friday morning. The games were almost always on Saturday. I loved it all! Love reading your blog. April
